  • I told her, she could stay.
But don't be dropping batterys all over the house.

  • Listening to the actual lyrics to this song inspired me, for whatever reason. I have something to share with all that wish to read:
With far more than half of my life gone and wasted
I know that time is not on my side, life never tasted.
One day not long from now I shall go unnoticed and die.
Soon forgotten, if not immediately, nobody left shall cry.
I will never know what it is to have been in luxury
Instead I fight for your rights, and live in misery.
You live your life free, and without worry or concern,
and yet you never know who it is that gave you freedom to burn.
Even if you acknowledge me one or two days out of the year,
You have no idea what my life is like, and you'll never hear.

Some of my friends have died young, taken to the ground for you.
I was counted among the lucky, but years later, I see pain they never knew.
Lost and forgotten, used and tossed aside, nobody calls except to ask for money.
With a big heart and small brain, I give what I have, please visit me honey.

Nobody comes, I sit in this house, with others like me. All we do is stare at the wall.
Funny thing, it plays what goes through our heads. I see it, so do my new friends in the hall.
Imagination is all we have left, time to take your meds, more pills down the throat, careful don't fall.

Family comes to visit. It is always awkward, I know I'm never leaving here alive; so do they.
No matter how badly I want to go and live again, that will never happen, somethings you never have to say.

They wait for the call, both ruefully and hopefully, the word that I have passed.
It will leave momentary sorrow, but also bitter relief for both of us–”finally at last”.
Things that I have never done, but always wanted to are no longer there, my future is now the past.
I leave you everything I own, both pair of pants, if you want. Don't worry my memory fades fast.
