First song in Kill ’em All -album…
Presenter: Metallica
Album: Kill ’em All (Recorded May 1983 at Music America Studios, Rochester, New York. Released July 25, 1983)
Lyrics:
No life till leather
We are gonna kick some ass tonight
We got the metal madness
When our fans start screaming
Its right well alright
When we start to rock
We never want to stop again

Hit the lights
Hit the lights
Hit the lights

You know our fans are insane
We are gonna blow this place away
With volume higher
Than anything today the only way
When we start to rock
We never want to stop again

Hit the lights
Hit the lights
Hit the lights

With all our screaming
We are gonna rip right through your brain
We got the lethal power
It is causing you sweet pain oh sweet pain
When we start to rock
We never want to stop again

Hit the lights
Hit the lights
Hit the lights…

  • Solo section structure feels a lot like the original Queen version of Stone Cold Crazy. Also just so happens to be in the same key, well before it transposes that is.

  • If you look long enough at the blood stain that looks like someone saying “shh” it looks a ghost (think of the 2 circular stains as pupils in the eyes)

  • Me gusta más Metallica después del 2000 y ya me cansé de decir que no pero, este disco es oro puro.

  • Hard to believe, but I first heard this Metallica song on the series premiere of the hit ABC TV sitcom Webster in 1983. I, but a mere infant, was forever changed. And Hal Incandenza continued to look longingly upon his collection of Byzantine Pornography while inside the maw of God all known trigonometry was defied.- David Foster Wallace, in a footnote to the previous post inside the massive and portentous and overly ambitious novel of David Foster Wallace entitled 'Infinite Jest, ' clearly, isn't that right, Hal? See next footnote.

  • every fucking time i hear any song from kill em all i just think… why the heck did i not recognize they were speeding up the recording? i mean, it's so fucking obvious when you hear it nowadays^^

edit: i remember i sat there with my childhood friend and listened to that album. we heard some metal before like motörhead or ac/dc and stuff. and we asked ourselves "why the heck does the bass sound so high? and why is the voice so weird? and how can anyone play drums that fast?"
    well, nowadays we know^^
still a good album to listen to. special, but good!
