So much blood I’m starting to drown
Runs from cold to colder
Time to time the sky’s come down
To help me lose my way
Tears and lies for answers
You and open veins, God knows I’m gone
Girl I just want you to
Come on down
Lord it’s a storm and I’m heading to fall
These sins are mine and I’ve done wrong, oh babe
Come on down

Long Gone Day
Mmmm, who ever said
We wash away with the rain

  • it's funny because we all have that 'Long Gone Day' …The Music that we played!

  • Growing up as a young boy in a war zone (East Baltimore) this was therapy.

  • Thank God I grew up in this era!!

  • Being a huge fan of both Layne Staley and Mark Lanegan, hearing the two of them harmonize for the first time left me in a state of pure ecstasy…

  • All the instruments are just awesome but the saxophone is my favorite. So much time has passed life is short!!

  • Where in the heck have I been.. first time seeing this one . SO good.

  • They sung so good together! I can't believe they wrote this song taking turns line by line!

  • The MOST eclectic song to come out of the Seattle bunch.

  • In their short career, Mad Season made some of the best music of their generation. This was the experiment that succeeded. I just wish there was more.

  • This has always been one of my favorite performances. It was a great time to be a 20 year old in Seattle.

  • Epic. Simply f’ng epic sound from these guys. Nothing else like it. So unusual to take dudes from big names in their prime and make something totally different and in some ways better. This album cut through the standard sound on the radio at the time, like a razor!

  • Definetly heroin music, it would if felt so good being on heroin both of them and feeling this live

  • I could listen to Layne’s voice all day it just will never get old.

  • I see hate for Mark but his voice fits this song and compliments Lane’s absolutely perfectly.

  • Sunny day, ALWAYS when I listen to you
and to think, now, this was a Long Gone day you stood on that stage…
That is my sunny day every time I hear you and think what an incredible artist you were.
    Thank you man
