  • The one thing that Ive wanted to do my whole life is surf. I live right next to some great surfing spots in monterey. Its just that boards and wetsuits are super expensive, and I dont want people to make fun of me for being a beginner since almost everyone around me surfs. I think i'm gonna try during this whole pandemic. I just know that as soon as I get in the water that I will fall in love. I obsess over the idea of me surfing. I just want to do it.

  • This is beautiful :)) Great song! Although please ignore the info at the start, if a jelly stings you, you don't need to pee on it! Just continually run it under water, if it doesn't get better go to hospital. If you get caught in a rip, swim parallel to the horizon to get out of the current quicker. Failing that, wait for it to take you out and swim back in the current

  • Love this beautiful melody, so appropriate for this good but depressing movie….the ocean rocks.

  • You shouldn't swim for the horizon in a riptide, you should swim parallel to the shore

  • some future day human kind will understand and realize that nature is a concious lifing being and not something static.
the ocean is alive as is the forrests and even the desert. everything has its conciousness and is able to communicate with other conciousnesses.

be happy folks…that all what god wishes for us…greetings from odenwald forrest in germany.

  • At 16, I'm beginning to find a new home at the waters edge. Lived near the Florida Gulf coast my entire life, but never considered the gift I was given. Jack's music has helped me to realize how the ocean is a friend to no man, yet it accepts all those who wander near enough. Its scary to see those who have accepted the gift since they were young and been living it their whole life. This song shows how, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter where you come from, whatever path you've gone down, the ocean waits with open arms.

  • After all of this time
    After all of these seasons
    After your one decision
To go to the water for reason
Now it's only the ocean and you
    All of these lines
    Will all be erased soon
They go out with the tide
Then come back with the waves
It's only the ocean and you
    You don't want
    You don't wait
    You don't love
    But you don't hate
    You just roll over me
    And you pull me in
    When this work is done
    And this coat is dry
When this world is too much
    It will be
    Only the ocean and me
    When these sails go up
    Mountains fade away
    Stars come out
    I'm finally free
Now it's only the ocean and me
    You don't want
    You don't wait
    You don't love
    But you don't hate
    You just roll over me
    And you pull me in
    You don't want
    You don't wait
    You don't love
    But you don't hate
    You just roll over me
    And you pull me in

  • Surfing saved my life. It got me through some of the hardest times I’ve experienced in my 32 years of life on this planet. Here is it, Tuesday, March 17th, 2020. The Covid-19 outbreak is really heavy right now. At the end of the day I tell myself, “Tomorrow you surf. It’s gonna be a solid swell.” The moment my feet hit the water. Nothing matters anymore. It’s just the ocean and me. Long live surfing. Long live love.
